The main and the most obvious goal when going to Assisi is to visit the Basilica of St. Francis. The city, however, has something more to offer than that.
It’s maybe a little difficult to notice when you are in a hurry to the Basilica but try to look sideways as well.
The buildings and views you are passing on your way are simply beautiful.
They tempt you to slow down and experience their peacefulness and medieval charm, to enter the narrow backstreets and feel the atmosphere.
Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to do it. Only photos left some trace of the feeling in our memories. Maybe some other time?
