Miracles in the Pancake Castle in Eger, Hungary

You can say what you want but good food can definitely change a sad, depressed man into one full of energy and optimism. It is a miracle-working stuff, especially when, after having been sightseeing all day long, you suddenly feel very weak and often … angry. It’s a visible sign that you should quickly find a nice place to eat. Ours in Eger was Palacsintavar in Dobo Street.

Palacsinta means “pancake” (and by the way, Istvan Dobo was a national Hungarian hero:-) Palacsintavar (a pancake castle) is an awesome restaurant which offers huge, delicious pancakes of many kinds. Everybody can find something she or he likes there. They have pancakes with sweet filling, like that one in the picture below

as well as vegetarian or non-vegetarian ones. It’s truly worth trying but bear in mind that the pancakes are really huge! (We sometimes couldn’t eat all of it…)
